The International Code Council and the National Fire Protection Association announced the formation of the Coalition for Current Safety Codes (CCSC). The coalition will advance public safety in the built environment by advocating states and municipal jurisdictions adopt current building, fire prevention, sustainable, electrical and life safety codes. ICC Updates February 2013 ICC has posted a video on You Tube to preview the 2012 Significant Changes to the Plumbing, Mechanical, and Fuel Gas codes. You might want to distribute this to your friends. Beginning March 10, 2012, ICC will offer paper-and-pencil exams based on the 2006, 2009 and 2012 International Codes. The 2012 code-based exams will be available via paper-and-pencil testing throughout 2012, and via computer testing beginning in July. The 2009 code-based exams will be available via paper-and-pencil or computer-based testing through at least June 2012 with exceptions noted in the bulletin. The 2006 code-based exams will be available via paper-and-pencil testing only. To download an application for a paper-and-pencil exam, click here . Code Changes 2012/2013 code change cycle information is now available. The Code Council has recently posted the Code Change Proposal form online for the 2012/2013 Code Change Cycle.
